01. What is your pen name?
um. for a while it was Keito. now i dont even sign things

02. What made you choose this name?
it's suppose to be the japanese version of Kait/kate. i dont know if that's true

03. Do you use PC or Mac?
ive used both but now that im in school its MAC

04. What programs do you use most often?
Photoshop CS3

05. Do you use mouse, or tablet?
mouse. i really want a tablet

06. What color or color combinations do you find yourself using most often?
um. im not sure lol. color has been illegal for me to use for a few months now

07. What part of a picture do you put most effort into?
detail/shadows

08. How long does it take you do draw a picture?
depends on what im doing :/ but usually ill work on something over the course of a few days just so i can look at with fresh eyes. i feel like now i have a better idea of process

09. Do you keep your rough drafts?
i dont throw anything

10. What font do you use most often?
times, helvetica

11. When you scan your image, what DPI do you use?
um...300. usually i only scan line art...XD but because my scanner is small i cant scan alot of things i want to

12. Do you do anything else when you're drawing?
um sometimes listen to music or watch TV with john depending on what im doing...

13. Approximately how many pictures do you draw in a month?
um...idk lol too many? lol no idk

14. What kind of paper do you draw your pictures on?
i really like strathmore drawing paper and cardboard for certain things...and newsprint is fun too XD

15. What kind of paper do you use for rough sketches and drafts?
newsprint or sketch paper

16. How long does it take you to ink something?
oh that...it used to take me forever. but i dont do that anymore XD

17. Do you do comics, or fan comics?
neither

18. Do you like comics? Are they fun to make?
i like them but i dont make them XD but my brother does

um...our school magazine

Yup, I got honorable mention XD. I should've gotten 1st though

yes. everything done by clamp lol

no but my aunt gives me alot of books and theyre actually really helpful

i try to. when i draw i like to reference current fashions...i like to do portraits and now i have an anatomy book so..that will be used more

yes! when im really into it its like im not even here lol

YES. things get out of proportion and dumb when i focus on things that arent important lol.

no. not friends

um...school? lol no i dont know i dont have a prescribed hang out anymore

yeah there are some that i have as teachers where at first im like <_< what in the hell is that. but i think after school ive become more understanding of different types of art....or overly understanding.

67. Are there any situations in which you really don't like being an Artist?
when people think there is no knowledge in some of the things we do...or no future. yes somethings are dead. like we joke that photography is just a hobby and that most things you become a studio/gallery artist. and i honestly respect those people. it takes alot to self promote and work for money so you can afford what you like an hope it makes you money in return

68. How about situations that make you love it?
When I draw someone a picture and I can see in their eyes just how much they like it

69. What's the one thing that makes you grateful that the internet exists?
AIM lol mostly and music sites like lastFM and purevolume

what kind of question is that??
the first drawing i felt amazed at was this collage drawing i did to scale in my freshman drawing class. it was exactly like that collage more or less

my style has changed alot, continuously

i think im more realistic and that i can find problems on my own better and understand the importance of process and not just oh i want to draw...draw for a couple hrs and its amazing

yes often. and its sucks when you have it during school and are expected to do something awesome

76. If so, how do you usually get out of it?
just try and try to draw. then trying not to lol

77. What do you do when you can't get out of it?
stop drawing and hopefully find something else to do but ive had it for a long time before

um alot. mostly teachers. one day ill give you something in return

79. What made you want to start drawing?
the first time i knew i wanted to draw was watching Sailor Moon XD. my fondest memories of this time is drawing Sailor Moon characters between commercials at my friend rachels house. eventually wed draw their bodies then put our own characters one them and it was amazing

81. Has anything ever made you want to quit art all together?
yes. sometimes when im not getting it at school i worry if i should even be there

um. what. there is no etiquette here

XD sure.

86. Do you upload high quality versions of your art submissions, or do you prefer to upload a lower quality?
it usually ends up being low quality. the only place i update is on here via airport. so...yeah

basically i love you a million times. then maybe a few specific questions

um 2yrs in HS and now im at an Art University XD

yeah i tried some things but you can tell im bullshitting

yeah sometimes. i think alot of people do that...that theyre more talkative online

to finish college and learn from it
